After what always feels like the longest winter here in Calgary, the shift is finally happening. The snow melts, the air softens, and suddenly everything feels a little lighter again. If you’re anything like most dog moms, this is when you start thinking about getting outside more: longer walks, golden evening light, muddy paws, and those happy post-winter zoomies.


It also happens to be one of the best times of year for photos.

Why Spring & Early Summer Just Work

There’s something about this season that just can’t be recreated any other time of year. The light is softer, the colors feel fresh without being overwhelming, and your dog is naturally more engaged because everything is exciting again. New smells, new sounds, new energy—it all comes together in a way that feels effortless and real.


That’s what makes these sessions so special. Nothing feels forced, and the photos reflect who your dog actually is in this moment..
