Summer in Calgary never seems to last long enough, which makes it the perfect time to get outside and enjoy every sunny day with your dog. Whether your pup loves exploring new places or simply spending time with you, here are 10 fun ways to make the most of the season together.

1. Explore a New Walking Trail

Dogs experience the world through their noses, so even a simple walk can feel like a new adventure. Pick a trail you've never visited before and spend some time exploring together. The new scents, sights, and sounds will provide plenty of mental enrichment for your dog while giving you both a chance to enjoy Calgary's beautiful summer weather.

2. Have a Dog-Friendly Picnic

Pack a blanket, some snacks, and plenty of water, then head to a local park for a relaxing afternoon. While your dog may be more interested in watching squirrels than enjoying the scenery, spending uninterrupted time together is what matters most. It's a simple way to slow down and enjoy the season.
